Grivel
Grivel, 200 years of mountain equipment
Originating from the Italian side of Mont Blanc, the Grivel brand was born in 1818 from blacksmiths determined to equip tourists eager to climb ever higher. The first mountaineering crampons were introduced in 1909 and have been continuously improved to be lighter and more durable. Still based in the Alpenland region, the Italian brand is now a leader in the development and production of technical mountain equipment. It offers high-end, functional, and high-performance mountaineering and climbing gear while maintaining the most responsible approach possible. Environmental respect is at the heart of the Italian company's concerns, which is fully aware of the fragility of its playground. Thus, all ice axes, harnesses, helmets, and backpacks from the brand are designed with a total sustainability goal. Aimed at supporting all mountain lovers, Grivel equipment is suitable for most alpine practices, from ski touring to ice climbing and glacier hikes to trail outings. Distributed in over 50 countries, Grivel products and equipment come from a company that has managed to maintain a size and family spirit true to its origins. Innovation, quality, and creativity are the distinguishing elements of this company that describes itself as a “pocket multinational.”
Grivel equipment for all ascents
Whatever your mountain adventure, Grivel designs equipment specifically tailored for all excursions. For committed alpine climbs as well as the most accessible hikes, the Italian brand's equipment is always ready. In climbing and mountaineering, the brand's carabiners and quickdraws are among the references. The Alpine Plume quickdraw, weighing just 69 grams, equips many climbers on most major faces around the world. They can also be found attached to numerous harnesses. Another classic from the brand, the Air Tech Evolution ice axe is ideal for mountaineering. Versatile, it ensures a perfect grip with its grooved handle. Perfect for cutting steps as well as for snow clearing, it is the first choice ally for vertical sports activities. And to stand firmly on your feet, the brand designs some of the most comprehensive crampons on the market. For example, the Air Tech New Classic crampons are ideal for mixed hiking on ice and rock. Adapting to all types of shoes, equipped with 12 points and semi-automatic, they are one of the company's best sellers. All this equipment, imagined, developed, and created with care by the brand, is made to offer exploration and discovery, so that everyone can find their mountain and their path.
