To undertake a cycling trip safely and under optimal conditions, preparing your equipment is essential. Choosing Ortlieb means being equipped with cutting-edge gear that will follow you everywhere. In addition to the iconic Ortlieb panniers, you will find a wide range of Ortlieb backpacks, perfectly suited for all terrains.
The Ortlieb panniers
The Ortlieb panniers come in several ranges to cover all the needs of cyclists. Whether they are in the city or the countryside, preparing for a cycle touring trip or commuting to work, Ortlieb has a solution for all cycling enthusiasts. The Ortlieb panniers are compatible with the front wheel, rear wheel, frame, rack, saddle, and finally handlebar.
The panniers for the front and rear wheels have similar characteristics. Most are fully waterproof and dustproof, ensuring your load is protected in all circumstances. All equipped with an Ortlieb fastening system, the panniers easily attach to the rear rack or front wheel. The Quick-Lock1, Quick-Lock2.1, and Quick-Lock3.1 systems allow for one-handed operation of the Ortlieb panniers. Pull on the handle located on top of the Ortlieb pannier and you will open the fastening hooks. Release the handle and they will close around the rack. The volume of the Ortlieb panniers, which can go up to 40 L for a pair of panniers, allows for transporting a significant load. Ideal for long cycle touring trips, the Ortlieb panniers are also essential for carrying your shopping in town. Transporting the panniers is made easier with the addition of shoulder straps allowing them to be carried crossbody. Have you ever found yourself in a difficult situation in the dark? Ortlieb thinks of you and equips its range with High Visibility panniers made with reflective thread. Finally, Ortlieb designs a collection of more elegant and modern lifestyle panniers than the other Ortlieb panniers. You will find classic panniers as well as bags specially designed for the office and with a professional appearance.
Ortlieb also develops a range of handlebar bags. Allowing you to increase your load capacity, the Ortlieb handlebar bag is lightweight and perfectly suited for all terrains. The hook-and-loop closures provide a balanced and stable attachment, even on the roughest terrains. With a magnetic closure allowing complete locking of the bag, as well as a shoulder strap, the Ortlieb handlebar bags are ultra-ergonomic. Just like the panniers for racks, the Ortlieb handlebar bags have a High Visibility version.
Finally, Ortlieb develops a range of bags for the rest of the bike. You will find Ortlieb panniers for the saddle, rack, and frame. All equipped with hook-and-loop fastening systems or the Rack-Lock system (for the rack), these Ortlieb panniers attach easily.
